A vibrant tapestry of festivals, performances, debates and drama — TNHA's cultural life is as rich as India's own heritage.
Explore Cultural Life
The New Heights Academy has a very rich and strong tradition of cultural activities — spanning Indian music, western music, dramatics, debates and much more. Various festivals are celebrated across Houses, in our School Temple and throughout the campus.
All Houses participate in various categories of Indian and Western music and stage Hindi or English plays of 30–45 minutes. The plays are of a very high standard — reflecting months of rehearsal and artistic dedication.
Beyond inter-house competitions, musical programmes are staged on Independence Day, Republic Day, Prize Giving and festivals including Holi, Diwali, Eid, Christmas and Janmashtami. Our students have formed their own school orchestra band and regularly host programmes by well-known Indian classical artistes.
Throughout the year, TNHA comes alive with colour, music and community as we celebrate India's diverse traditions.
The Festival of Lights is celebrated with clay lamp decoration, rangoli competitions, devotional music and a school-wide Lakshmi puja. Students also share the story of Diwali through skits.

Every year, TNHA's four houses compete fiercely across cultural categories — Indian music, Western music, Hindi play and English play. The competition is intense, the talent incredible and the atmosphere electric.
Students spend months rehearsing, building sets and rehearsing lines. Parents, teachers and the community attend the final performances — making it one of the most celebrated events in the TNHA calendar.
